  To me it seems that there is a second Galaxy merging on the other side of this Galaxy. It shows as a blue spot at about 7:00 and causes disturbance along the 6 to 9:00 ring area. Or maybe not. Seems to be a blue halo around the main Galaxy at the radius of the blue ball.

  The blue blobs are starforming areas in the galaxy. Usually the blue areaa goes all around the galaxy, but here it looks one-sided.
