Foreground alignment or very bright center?

This seems to be either an elliptical galaxy with a foreground star smack in the center of it, or a very bright galaxy center with a much dimmer halo of stars around it. Can anyone help?

It is rare to have a star photobombing the image right in the middle. Elliptical galaxies have a star-like center, so this is an elliptical.
