AGN?

Hello everyone!
Is this a galaxy with an active nucleus?

Hi tomas_depaula,
My 2 cents: it has a very bright nucleus and designations as Infrared Source and รltraviolet Source which seems to indicate 'yes'. But I can not find any references in NED for AGN, and only 1 for 'candidate AGN' in VizieR.
Looking at the images from WISE it is only visible in bands W1 and W2, whereas all AGN (Active Galactic Nucleus) I have encountered are usually W1>W2>W3>W4. So based on that last observation I go for 'no'.
Here you can see the images for yourself (it is in different Infrared wavelengths): WISE POSITION COLOR + BANDS
Love to hear from others though.
Have fun!

My 2 pence ๐ AGN are green or magenta, depending on distance.

My 2 Florin ๐ or invisible, the number of (IR) AGN's without an optical counterpart I've encountered so far are near infinite ๐
Voorwerp search -> love AGN
