Inverting the Colours
-
Apologies if I have described it in a clumsy way, and also putting a help question in a specific item, but I am a bit curious about using the invert feature as particularly in this it makes the whole picture look different. In this what could easily put as having no bulge, or maybe an obvious one when its inverted the bulge becomes really dominant and other features hardly there that were obvious in the proper version, barely there if at all.
I would, and generally, have gone with the main version, but occasionally have had a look at the inverted version just to make sure what I saw was what I thought it was but in this one, probably the only one that I have used invert, and it totally changes the view. I have gone with the normal view, as I would say this would be the correct thing to do, but maybe you could just clarify this for me.Posted

Many GAMMA images have high red shifts. Inverting the image will do little to improve the view.

I don't use invert very much, things look just too different. Does anyone here use it much?

I actually use it alot but it doesn't help all the time. It does show sometimes where the core is and whats happening around it. You really have to use all things photo, invert, SDSS ,Simbad and Viz photos then you get an idea of whats going on. It depends on the individual and how they classify. Sometimes to observe is all that is necessary. Just my opinion, Magi
