It looks like a #double_nucleus. They do happen occasionally. I don't understand why there aren't more references about it in NED.

The wider views look as if there is a diffuse dust lane crossing the center, further enhancing the double appearance. Merging ellipticals in simulations can show this kind of "bow-tie" structure with brighter wedges of stars on opposite sides of the major axis, and the direction of the dust lane around the minor axis is also something that would not last long on a galactic scale after a merger without being pulled out into a progressively wider band and eventually settle perpendicular to the remnant galaxy's minor axis. During the process the dust would look something like we see in NGC 4753.
