Not Sure How to Interpret This Image

There are several objects within the field of the central object on the Gama site; are these galaxies interacting?

The round blue things are foreground stars in our own galaxy. On the left, I think the larger fuzzier yellow thing is a galaxy, and the smaller yellow round things are also foreground stars.

Nice red dwarf star in top right corner. Pure red colour. It can be seen to move over a period of 50 years.

Hi jeffreyhrwtz,
Some of the sources shown in the image within the GAMA Single Object Viewer have been detected as peaks, but not all will have been deblended as separate sources. Many of the blue 'blobs' around the galaxy will have ultimately have been re-blended with the primary object, and are in fact star forming knots within the outer disk of the primary galaxy.
Best, Lee
