Help identifying what is below the galaxy?

I classified this galaxy as a smooth spherical galaxy (because that's what it appears to be), however I'm a bit curious as to what the thin blue line is below the galaxy. My first guess is that something in the camera caused it to appear, but I honestly don't want to just assume that without more clarification. Thanks!

The thin blue line is a dim asteroid moving by while the image was taken.
