Strange arm/jet

  Any idea about the upper arm? It's too long to be a proper galactic arm. a jet? What about the distortion of the arm near the middle?

  Hi aqlipse and welcome to the Zoo,

  I'd classify this one as a disturbed disk or spiral galaxy seen edge on. No need to have an upper arm !
