Large bright objects

  does anybody know what the bright object at the top is

  It's a star in our own galaxy. It's bright enough that it saturates at least one of the detectors, resulting in strange colors. Also, the 'compass points' are #diffractionspikes, caused by the support arms of the secondary mirror in the telescope.
