Satellite galaxies?

  To me, this galaxy seems to be surrounded by a number of satellite galaxies, with at least one being absorbed. Is this what the milky ways satellite galaxies look like (magellenic clouds)? Assuming we could view them from a similar distance?

  The small dots surrounding the central galaxy in this image are all foreground stars from our galaxy.
