there appears to be a sub-spiral comimg off the upper main spiral, also a number of bright objects strung along the latter. Is the second object upper left a separate entitiy at a difefrent distance, or is it merging with main object?

The spiral galaxy, top left, is a separate entity interacting with the central spiral galaxy. The blueish dots in the spiral arms are star forming regions in the galaxy.
