Galaxy Zoo Talk

newbie

    Hi,

I'm Christel. I'm new at this so I'd like to have some advice.
I got into this project after Hanny Van Arkel was in a talkshow in Belgium, discussing the discovery of Hanny's Voorwerp.
It looked interesting to do, and who knows, one might discover something new like she did.

But I'm totally new at this, so I'm not really sure if what I see on this picture is normal or irregular. The reddish blue spot on the right side above: is that normal or not?

    Help, please

    Hi Christel,

Welcome to the Zoo ! 😄

Always classify the object in the center of the image. Here, I'd go for smooth and round.

As for the reddish/blue spot. I suppose you mean the object at 2 o'clock? That could be two foreground stars from our galaxy.

    Happy hunting !

Els (also from Belgium and I was at the recording of that talkshow, with Hanny !)
