What's this blue thing, a star? Should I have ignored it and classified only the galaxy on the bottom left corner?

First of, always classify the object in the center of the image, even if it is the most boring one ! 😄
And you are correct, the bright, blue object is indeed a foreground star from our galaxy. The colors and weird center areoptical artifacts.
