Can anyone shed some light on what it is emitting the blue light?

Hi and welcome to the Zoo,
The bright blue object on the left is a foreground star from our own galaxy - The Milky Way.
It looks a bit odd as this is an infrared image, so we are not viewing the object in the optical color range.
