Hey Capella.... this is an #interaction. I could not see it until I used the large SkyServer image. I did not click on the 'anything unusual' button. But this is a disturbed 2-arm bar spiral, and you can see the star trail between it and the edge-on.
The bar-spiral aspect is visible in the invert image on SkyServer.

Budgieye, you make the most educational posts!!

I cannot find the z values you refer to, for example, at "http://skyserver.sdss3.org/dr8/en/tools/explore/obj.asp?id=1237656538590150829, with the orange center has a PhotoZ z 0.087217 zErr 0.02 4622 "
I found, at Simbad, .116, but not your quoted values at that link. WHERE are they? -
How do you determine the coordinates of a second object (non-target)?
-
PhotoZ That is a new too. What is that?
Capella... I figured since Capella is the brightest star in Auriga, that Alpha Aurigae was also you. A case of mistaken identity. Sorry about that.

Budgieye, you the most educational posts!! Thank you 😃
I cannot find the z values you refer to, for example, at "http://skyserver.sdss3.org/dr8/en/tools/explore/obj.asp?id=1237656538590150829, with the orange center has a PhotoZ z 0.087217 zErr 0.02 4622 " I found, at Simbad, .116, but not your quoted values at that link. WHERE are they? The PhotoZ, is on the left side of the SkyServer page.
How do you determine the coordinates of a second object (non-target)? Go into Navigate, which is also on the left side of the SkyServer page, and click on the interested object.
PhotoZ That is a new too. What is that? A guess at distance based on colour done by a computer. It can be a good guess, or totally wrong.
