Twin galaxies from interaction?!

This galaxy has an almost mirror-image twin, complete with blue spot!
You need to add to the width in the large SkyServer image to view it properly. It is quite striking.

I checked Simbad, using my new (thanks to you) skills, and found:
Main object (on left) z=0.0199 http://skyserver.sdss3.org/dr8/en/tools/explore/obj.asp?id=1237678880485998722
MCG-01-02-004 -- Emission-line galaxy
the Twin is z=0.020237 http://skyserver.sdss3.org/dr8/en/tools/explore/obj.asp?id=1237678880485933199
IC 12 -- Emission-line galaxySeparation is about z=0.000337
That is a little less than twice the distance between the Milky Way and the Andromeda galaxy, if I did it right. So the Twins are very close indeed.
