just above and right of the bulge there is a pinpoint, could this be a supernova or is it just an ordinary overlapping star?

only visible in r band, not really visible in any other, does this point to it being a star rather than a nova?

If it is only visible in one band it is most likely to be an artifact or a cosmic ray, sorry.
