  Sorry man, but I think you mixed up your stars there. The star in the crosshairs of the top picture is not the same as the one in the lower picture. If you look at the lower picture and go one grid down and to the right you find the correct star.
  The coördinates ra and dec mentioned in the pics also don't match up.

  Hi dj, the second image image is the zoomed out version of the image on Galaxy Zoo. I wanted to put the star in perspective (in the lower right quadrant).

  The first image is the RR Lyrae star in the crossshairs. You can see our galaxy in the upper left quadrant 😃

  I edited my second post to make it a little bit clearer 😃

  Ah, ok, I thought you wanted to show two different images of the same star.
