That is one possibility, or it could be spiral arms backing over each other. Looking at the galaxy I think that is more likely.

This is a very complex object
a. a small but very bright nucleus
b. dust lanes in the bar and others in the disk

c. A disk around the nucleus. #nuclear-ring?
d. #inner ring seems somewhat disturbed
c. Has an #outer ring or #pseudo-ring
