  All the objects in this image are indeed stars from our galaxy. But no way to tell from just this image if the are close together or just appea to be.

  Yeah right, i said because they are really close on the image, but mainly because the star on the right seems deformed

  The "deformation" is an optical artifact, i.e. not real.
