  Hey can someone help me with this one? I think it looks like a barred galaxy don't you think?

  This is a very nice 'edge-on spiral' (actually, strictly speaking, an edge-on disk galaxy; you can't really tell if it has spiral arms), a spiral galaxy that we are seeing 'edge-on'. Our own Milky Way galaxy may look something like this if we could see it, from a great distance, looking along the plane of the disk. Generally it's difficult to tell, for sure, if an edge-on spiral is barred; sometimes the nucleus/bulge looks 'boxy' or 'x-shaped' (nearly always due to bars), but not all bars show themselves like this.
