spiral galaxy shrouded in dust possible.

  This appears to be a spiral facing the side. The lines are real hazy like the whole thing is cloaked in dust? Giant dust cloud?

  It is, IMHO, a highly inclined spiral, not quite but almost seen 'edge-on'. In the SDSS image it seems there's a fair amount of star-formation going on, and perhaps some rather odd dust (in the N half), which may be very faintly visible in the DECaLS image:
