Slightly irregular galaxy with whole single ring around

This galaxy appears to have a complete ring rather than spiral arms...or am I missing something. There appears to be large numbers of blue stars in clusters around this ring, but the center appears relatively faint considering the high energy in the ring itself. Any thoughts?

Yes, these simulated images have quite a few of these rings of starforming areas. I suppose we will find out when they publish the paper.
