Hi my name is Doris and my grandson showed me this nifty website. I am not really sure what I am looking at, but it sure is the bee's knees. I would really like some help in identifying this doohickey as I am trying to relate to my grandson who really thinks this star stuff is groovy.

Welcome to Galaxy Zoo. You can tell your grandson that looks like a small galaxy that is making lots of stars very fast.. The black hole in the nucleus is eating some stars, as you can tell by the hot hydrogen peak Hα in the spectrum.
