Is that dot at 3:30 a red giant very close to the observer with a globular Galaxy in the
Distance? Any ideas?Posted

Correct, the red dot is a red star in our own galaxy, though I don't know the size. Most red stars are red dwarfs. The distant galaxy may be elliptical, though it has blue starforming areas, so it may be an irregular galaxy.
