Overlap?

  • Zebx by Zebx

Apparently it seems a galaxy with off-center bulge. Can this be possible in this case? Or could it be an overlap?

An off-center nucleus if a definite possibility. It may have had a "recent" merger.

Yes it could be a recent merger, but I saw on 2dFGRS, one of the databases in which this object is present, it's classified as a simple galaxy. The object name in that database is TGN366Z244, where the G is replaced with M when they mark an object as possible merger. So maybe it's most probably a simple galaxy with off-center nucleus. Moreover SDSS physical major/minor axis values are referred to the "whole" galaxy(red ring in my image), though they're classified as two different objects on SDSS. A mistake?
