What am I supposed to classify. The poss disk galaxy in the center of the image, or the ring of gas?? surrounding what looks to me like nothing and seems to be in front of the galaxy. No wonder astronomers drink so much, having to look at the weird and wonderful images all day.
Insight, anybody?

I would say detail, bar and 2 armed spiral deformed. But that is just me. Other people may do it differently, and that tells scientists that the galaxy is difficult to classify.
