The dark spot in the centre of the galaxy is just an optical artifact (overexposed pixels).

The bright center has a definite tiny dark region at its very core.

@neoncoolguy:Sorry, the star is a foreground star from our galaxy,so there is NO way that this star can be merging with the central galaxy
