A list of sources of ultraviolet (UV) light.
UVs means ultraviolet source.
In our images, we can't see UV objects.
You can see objects in UV light in Aladin. Click on the GALEX button in this link.
Can anyone clarify what is "GALEXMSC" and "GALEXASC" and why is the
object type "UvS"?The Galaxy Evolution Explorer (GALEX) is an orbiting ultraviolet space telescope https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GALEX
GALEXMSC GALaxy Evolution eXplorer Medium Imaging Survey Catalog http://ned.ipac.caltech.edu/ui/?q=srcnom&acronym=GALEXMSC
GALEXASC GALaxy Evolution eXplorer All-Sky Survey Source Catalog http://ned.ipac.caltech.edu/ui/?q=srcnom&acronym=GALEXASC

3 GALEXMSC J084957.86+304717.6 below the galaxy.
6 GALEXASC J084956.92+304803.0 above the galaxy
The location of these UVs is the the same as in the ALADIN images. I don't know why. Does anyone have an ideas?
