Collection: Smudge galaxies

Nobody collects or favorites the indistinct, hazy galaxies that look like someone just smudged the lens. What if YOU lived in a smudgy galaxy? How would you feel having amateur astronomers casually dismissing your home in favor of the more flashy mergers and spirals? I'd like to think of these smudge galaxies as prime opportunities for greater exploration once we develop more advanced imaging technology. They might turn out to be some of the most beautiful of all!
