A beautiful spiral galaxy with a very bright, active core.

I'm pretty sure that it's a foreground star. Hubble's stars tend to be multicolored like that, versus its 'trademark' orange galaxies.

Not so sure it is a star. It is smack in the middle of the galaxy. Could be an AGN (Active Galactic Nucleus)

Well, looking at the galaxy, it has an orange nucleus, and the star is a bit to the right of the center if you squint (the very best tool!)

Now, who told you that squinting is a scientific tool ! ;-D

But as for star or bright core, purely visual, it could go either way.
