  ngc 1423 look at the oval bar across the nucleus and see the spiral arms come from the end of the bar barred spiral:)

  Thank you Trevor. That's one hell of a bar:-) The 'spiral arms' don't appear to be attached, hence my hesitancy. Thanks again.
