Hmm, has a spectrum, hot hydrogen narrow hydrogen alpha peak, not much hot oxygen so not star forming,

Sorry no; I didn't pay attention to the spectrum but also to the CFHTLS field where it's clearly a very bright hotspot as in #merger; no SN
