    This object appears to be interacting with a larger galaxy, although it's hard to tell whether or not they may just be along the same line.

    The larger galaxy is too detailed to be even nearly close to the almost featureless background galaxy.

    Very nice. This is NGC 3799 and 3800 which are a known pair (astronomers have measured redshifts for both of them at around 3300 km/s).
