gut feeling this is an #overlap. foreground galaxy has z=15.55/15.70 and the other z=15.85, does this calculate to 1% or 2% further away?

The z's you use have something to do with the filters used (ugriz)

If there is a redshift available, you'll find it lower on the page next to the spectrum.
Right galaxy has a z of 0.075,no z for the left onePosted

I'm a bloody amateur, so I took the redshift (z-value) from the skyserver pages. where would I find the 0.075 value?
