  I know this is a spiral galaxy viewed edge-on, but I think it must have had some kind of impact or merger to get that wavy shape...

  I also booked it as an edge-on disc, irregular because of the south region's "tail".

  Skyserver image shows discoloured part of galaxy at top is part of central galaxy and presume bottom discolouration is also.
