If you call it an elliptical, it cannot be a disk. A disk without any features is called a lenticular.

i thought Lenticular galaxies were a cross of elliptical and spiral features?Like an elliptical with dust lane or star formation?

A lenticular is a disk without any features. If you see one face on, it looks like an elliptical. Looked on sideways, it's an edge on
