  its a loose spiral what looks next to a star( purple) but the distance is vast

  well this one appears to be mostly dust with only a few stars around it.... also showing the first signs of disturbance in the top arm.

  Definitely a galaxy, no dust in this image. Very disturbed, so probably merger.
