Galaxy Zoo Talk
Seem to be a lot of disturbance here.
Would this one fit in with the "poppin Galaxies"?
To me is a strange spiral. How cold it form or is it the result of a merger.
Could there be a S.N @ 4 o'clock?
Could this be a very old spiral?
What are the three objects Please comment to further my eudctaion.
#interesting #tidal
Very interesting.
very interesting
What is the searchlight at the top of the image??
would it be correct to suggest that these 4 galaxies are merging? If so is this unusual?
Very impressive sight is this evidence of tidal effects of a long gone merger?
Any information as to what is going on here would assist,
Good example of merging.
Wht is the cause of the circle of young stars.
That has to be the first image of a space ship ๐ ๐
is this an example of a punch through???
Amazing, would be one of the best I have come across.
#overlaps or #merging or what could this be?
May I name this one as the "Butterfly Galaxy"
What is the blue area on the lower section???
#irregular #Disturbed
#Merger
Merging?
Would not have a clue as to how to classify this
This one is strange to me. I.D., comments please
Very strong eubg with evidence if tidal debrie
Flagged these as overlapping. There does not seem to be any evidence of merging.
There appears to be a massive tug-of-war going on here
This would rate high on my strange rating. Is this just a collection of small star forming regions? Please educate me ๐ ๐
Would somebody be kind .and explain the context of the background would I be correct to say this is very distant?
In DECals browser images there is a definite four clumps that make up this galaxy.
This one appears to be made up of three/four clumps. Any suggestions as to what might be happening here?
Thanks for the comments>
looks good for interacting with one very disturbed,
Poss S.N?
decaying spiral Correct?????
Nothing re the galaxy. But what is the object t 3 o'clock??????
Very defuse spiral
very strange configuration of the arms. Comments please
very defuse arms
could that be a SN @ 5 o'clock?????
overlapping or merging?
This would have to be the strangest spiral I have come across What has happened here as I would appreciate any info.
Appears to be a lot going on here merging and/or overlaps
i have marked this as both tidal and merging but very interesting
Two single arm galaxies merging in a dance of destruction wonder what the elipt gal above has to do or overlapping.
Very disturbed but have a question re the spiral to the right what could be the cause of the apparent split in the upper arm?
Beautiful The central area appears to be as a slightly different angle than the outer ring
I hope this is not an artifact because I think it could be SETI result
I find this one interesting especially with the long tail [?] is there a merger here?
These must be two massive old gzalaxies.
I take it that this is a mergerf given the apparent faint arm running from 6 0'clock around to 8 o'clock comments please
Unusual arm structure educative comments appreciated.
The #Illustris are easy to pick,
could this be a lenzing effect?
remnants of a merger.
I find this galaxy very unusual, I assume it is in the process of merging with another?
very short [strange] arms
little info on this one but @ 421 mly [approx]. Appears to have many star forming areas
Good example of an EmG.
late stage Merging???
Interesting shape with one tight arm and one very loose
On sdss indicated a supernova. What is the explaination for the two jets(?????) from the opposite edges. I assume this is side on.
A stunner
Why the elongated core?
Why the unusual star forming necklace?
I have marked this with two spiral arms
Merging & T.D.?
Could be a late stage merger.
I think there is no evidence for disturbance for a merger, I have flagged it as overlap.
Interesting pattern of star forming areas.
Today nothing but bland screens. what is happening?
Had a look at this under the DECals images. the DR! Residuals what does these tell us? Very different between the two.
Very interesting galaxy, wish I could see it close up. Maqny star forming areas.
The core of this one seems to be of centre or is it just an overlap?
i would not have a clue about this one comments to enhance my education please.
Cannot decide on what I am seeing here, any suggestions, I do see [?] a small ring at centre.
Poss SN @1 o'clock?????
I find it difficult to see an overlap. the central area seems to be a very active bar!!!
Very interesting as it appears to be a spiral with two arms comprising new star formations, Is this usual??
Proves that the universe contains some interesting and beautiful objects
A nice cluster of galaxies.
Fantastic!!!!!
Quite an unusual one with a ring
Loose two armed spiral, see on skyserver for a good image.
Cannot count the number of arms put >4
Count four arms two from each pole unusual.
Bright object @ 8 o'clock is noted as a star on skyserver.
a very disturbed spiral.
Very short spiral arms what could be the cause of this?
I would like to think this has a S.N @ 4 o'clock, it appears to be nice and crisp. Anybody agree?
Nice with many arms.
On Simbad, this is a very interesting patch of sky. In that image an object is marked as Candidate_wd* what does that mean.
Agree, but what would cause the inner [?] ring effect.
To me this looks like an exploding something.
a very massive spiral?
very disturbed arms with some seeming to be verticle to the plane.
I would also say merging.
Deffintely a WOW
Very disturbed must be a merger in its final stages.
Fountain with two arms @ 3 o'clock and one disturbed @ 8 o'clock
More that four arms.
Very large bar on many of these images.
Double ring one very distinct the other diffuse.
A further example of what appears to be a spiral arm that is disconnected in some manner
Is this a bar? The two spiral arms seem not to be directly connected to the centre. Any explanation for this.
I see two very short and stubby arms.
Seems to have about 4 arms. Interesting
I agree it is stunning with accentured diffusion.
do I, perchance, see a SN @ 7 o'clock, it appears well defined.
Supernova at 1 o'clock???? [I hope}
TIC, Looks like a cell that has just mutated or split.
Skyserver has these as galaxies, no other information can anyone help?
Do not think this is a star but must be a lot of energy here. Any comment as to what it is?
A wild wild guess is there a lenz here??????????
Poss SN at 7 o'clock?????
When looking under gal exam is strongly sugest that there is a clear supernover. Am I correct.
Unusal spiral with very difuse arms looks like an elipt. but no idea.
Having a second look at this one nothing on simbad no info on examine. Maybe the red object is not a foreground star.
Red star forground?
Disturbed spiral and merger. Nothing on simbad or gzexamine
Object, jet like?????, at 6 o'clock. Could this be a fore-ground edge on gal??
Star or something else [I hope}
many arms with extensive star forming.
An amazing patch of the sky.
nothing on simbad, unusual arms with a very energetic core, comments Please
Very bright arms, Star forming??????
Would love to be living in the middle of all this.
Nice star forming arc. Most unusual.
This would have to be the most amazing part of the universe that I have ever seen
Is the blue area a photometric error?
comments please regartding the very strong bar.
Could that be a SN upper right of the Galazy??
A Serfert_1 Galaxy in close proximity to a High PM Star. Interesting to see on simbad
One of the stranger spirals with little information.
If you go to the sky server image and re-centre it on to the galaxy you will see the spectrum and then to simbad you will see all the data.
The best elliptical I have seen
#star
Gal @ upper left not related no interaction. Star forming areas
Core seems off-center
A very good barred spiral.
A nice group of gaolaxies
a good example of an artefact. I wish it wasn't ๐
Very interesting, It is a Radio Galaxy, it appears to be a spiral superimposed on another spiral with diffuse arms.
Artefact but I would like to think it is our first direct evidence of a Black hole:) ๐ ๐
Our first sighting of space butterflies. ๐ If you believe so you will be happy.
The best spiral I have seen in UKDSS!!!!!!!!!
This is a very rich field with 6 Xray 7 Radio galaxies and 20+ vrs types of galaxies look in simbad simplay.
I.D., on simbad as a Qso. If you look at the image of simplay is the orange trail an asteroid??????
Very good image of the final stage in the life of a spiral becoming an Elliptical.
Have a look at this one on skyserver it is vvvvery interesting.
Nothing on simbad the core seems to be very active and off center any comments please.
LSB Galaxy. Very little star forming
Very Interesting, a Radio galaxy associated with an IR source> Black Hole?
Unusual, nothing on simbad, nothing much on skyserver. A disturbed sprial???
Amazing merger. go to simbad to see in field 6 x QSOs,Sdyfet, AGN,HVCLDand Maser.
A very interesting group includes 'x-ray', Radio Gal, Pair gal, and a CIG gal
Very interesting merger between a spiral and elliptical galaxy directly below the major galaxy
A very disturbed spiral with an unusual disturbed bar, something I have not seen before
To me this looks like a spiral beginning to form. Could this thought bubble be correct?
Suggest this 1 smooth Y 2 round y 3 anything odd N. this is an eliptical galaxy
A very compact spiral.
Very disturbed 2 arm galaxy
No lensing but merger.
On sky server you can see that it is an artifact caused by a very bright star at lower left.
Unusual, two main[?] arms with two baby arms which are very diffuse.
Strange, nothing on SIMBAD. merging.
Starforming.
On skyserver looks like some repulsive force acting on the upper arm of the lower spiral.
Kissing cousins ๐
Is this a flyby merging with the upper galaxy?
Checked Sky Server and this is the second one tonight with an elliptical merging with a spiral. [I think I am correct]
A very very nice spiral
No it is two hot air balloons!!!
Why am I seeing so many very loose two arm spirals in the data / images from HDSS
On skyserver the red blob looks real and not an artifact. Any info?
I wish we could look in skyserver before we classify because this one comes up as a nice two arm spiral.
Look on sky server and you see the upper image is a very loose spiral merging with the lower elliptical beautiful
Seems to have characteristics of a very looose spiral.
had a look on skyserver where the very red central core seems to vanish.
A close look on skyserver seems to show two very close spiral galaxies merging with a lot of disturbance.
Agree, probably the best edge on I have seen.
Interesting artifacts, the third set I have seen tonight. What could cause these two doughnuts.
Spiral with one arm very disturbed. Nothing on sky server that, i can see, is causal for this.
On sky server appears to be a group of at least 4 galaxies merging
Looking at sdss these are the longest arms I have seen in a spiral.
main gal is at z=0.0306 but no NED I am interested in the red blob at 9 on edge of frame z=0.070 marked as galaxy what could it be?
This is the same as many spirals with very loose and very diffused arms. It also has a strange spectra. Why so many similar spirals this set
I presume the round blue object is a processing artifact. It does not show up on skyserver.
Is this a very old elip galaxy?
A very nice barred spiral maybe not merging
Further to this. On skyserver it is a very nice spiral with four arms.
Sorry just cannot get a handle on these
Very nice blue ring around the core. What could it be?
Any suggestions as to what the red area is at two o'clock?
If you look at the skyserver image you will see that it is an image fault.
must be viewed on sky server a magnificent disturbed spiral with major regions of star forming.
Must be viewed on sky server is a magnificent spiral with many star forming regions,
Two different galaxies one perpendicular to the other and both are very attractive.
I am finding it increasingly difficult to classify these, because when viewed on sky server you get a totally different image this is two
unusual spiral with a merger?
A very good bar.
Would this be a cluster?
[contd] spiral merging with an edge on galaxy which is many times larger.
click on galaxy zoo examine then click on skyserver, then click on navigate on the left hand menue where you will see it is a disturbed>
A very disturbed or very old spiral the arms very angular and difused
O.K., what is this all about with two very diรงfuse areas one at 5 o'clock and one at 7 o'clock one green and one blue or is image problem?
How do we have a red core surroundered by blue stars??
Very Beautiful shiny clumps are star forming areas.
Just looked at the image in sdss looks like a spiral where two arms have been drawn bake to the core with another two arms very disturbed.
To me this is an outstanding merger Just look at the length of the tail. What is happening in the lower gal cause this much attraction?
Seems to be little info on this Are they merging or just overlapping. if merging there seems to be little distortion.
I know this is an image fault but what if it is not what can it be?
During this phase I have come across a number of spirals like this very faint and fuzzy. Is this related to blue ellipticals ?
Is this a disturbed spiral or disturbed ring?
Love this one all those star forming areas. Could be a disturbed spiral?
Any idea what the reddish very diffuse band that runs from top to bottom just to the right of the galazy
Any comments on what is the object at 4 o"clock?
Very acute angles on the arms a very long disc
Love this one.
There seems to be a distinct boundary just surrounding the core it resembles a cuneiform and is visible in the invert. Comments Please
Love this bar-bell Gal! is there such an animal? Also marked it as a ring?
I see two sdr arms. Could this be overlapping gal?
Seem to be a lot of disturbance here.
