Galaxy Zoo Talk
grand design 😉
cluster
2 nuclei , if not the death of a superstar.
#supernova in the upper arm
#Cepheid variable, at 11 o'clock seems to be in this elliptical galaxy.
Enormous halo, twice the galaxy itself.
Would be nice to see it close, from far it looks already like a wonderful pin wheel of ancient times.
I'm taking a wild guess, looks like a star's gone supernova in this distant galaxy.
Simply beautiful
Looks like the super-massive black-hole in the center is having a feast, I can see jets from the poles.
This thing seems to be really far away, even though the massive star formation is noticeable.
Massive star formation
The clump right at 9 o'clock from center looks like a supernova.
Nice halo around it
Splendid picture.
This is the first of a kind I've seen.
This one's quite tortured.
Not that I'm obsessed with them, but looks like 2 #planetarynebulae next to each other.
Some major gravity action going on.
#PlanetaryNebula
This galaxy might be a lot bigger than it appears, I can see some remnants at 11 and 12 o'clock.
Nice
Poles seem to be active.
Looks like it has 2 nucleii?!
Beautiful city of stars. Watch out for that tiny #companion galaxy at 3 o'clock
A merger? No way, the one at the bottom has more arms thus older and further away, #localgroup
#massive starformation
Strange object.
Looks like it's been gravitationally disturbed by something, the galaxy in the background seems too far.
Nice Spiral Galaxy, I believe it has four arms.
Very disturbed.
Strange looking galaxy.
Ouch!
Don't supernovaes usually end up in a planetary nebula? I know that the bigger ones end up as a neutron star or even a black hole.
Looks like this one has a dwarf companion galaxy like our Magellanic clouds.
#gravitational lensing
Maybe a supernova.
#question what is this?
This thing is really distant but I can clearly see a bulge at its center
Looks like it's got 2 nukleii
Don't know if the knot on the upper arm is a supernova? It's unusually bright to be a star forming area.
Almost looks like as if there were jets pewing out from top and bottom.
Majorly bending space and time.
Beam me up Scotty!
A Green Lantern just flew by.
Huh, a galaxy cluster, a big local group.
What's that faded line going from the left of the galaxy towards left top corner of the picture?
Don't tell me this one hasn't been classified yet....
Not sure if it's an optical illusion, but this one looks like it has jets.
Looks like a planetary nebula
This is probably how our Milkyway looks like.
The nicest picture under my favourites.
Galaxy with jet.
Starcity =)
It always a big "AHHH" to stumble over a picture like this after having classified 100ds of smudges, clusters and elliptical galaxies.
4 arms
Strange looking indeed.
Exotic galaxy merger
Looks almost like the planetary nebula cats eye!?
spiral arms can't be seen yet there's a starburst in supermassive young blue stars
By what can be seen, it's full of detail, too bad picture's cut off.
A perfect "S" for superb
AGZ00026z8 is definitely a structure to remember, this thing has more than 4 arms, probably 6? Grandiose.
AGZ0003ny4 one of the best structures I've seen.
The disk is hardly seen, yet the blackhole in the center is(was) having a feast.
This merger produced an outburst in the number of young supermassive blue stars
Breathtaking 😃
Sombrero Galaxy No. 2
Extremely bright for an object this distant.
I guess this one here is too far to be a globular cluster, right?
I don't know, but my guess is that this one here is a huge whirlpool even though it looks very distant.
Looks like it's got two nuclei!?
Definitely a distant spiral, maybe with a cepheid at the end of one of its arms.
