Hm, maybe you're right.
I'm just curious about the object in the top right of this image. Any ideas?
Right! But did it remind you of the nebula? It was the first thing I thought of when I saw this galaxy!
This was an odd looking one. There doesn't appear to be a central hub to it, and it's very clumpy. What would YOU classify this as?
These are the pictures that I just love getting! #spiral #amazing
This reminds me of the hourglass nebula! Amazing #bar
Beautiful spiral! #starformation
I think you're right. When I viewed it on a smaller screen it looked like a dust lane. Thanks!
I wasn't sure about how many arms were here. I was stuck between 2 and 3. Maybe just a spur?
Takes your breath away. I try to keep my comments scientific, and focused on the goal... but this is just so stunning.
Are the arcs due to gravitational lensing?
I could barely see a thing in this photo!
I'm uncertain as to wether this is a ring from a galaxy passing through, or just a poor picture of spiral arms.
Is there a possible satellite galaxy, or is that image further from the main orb?
To me, it appears to have a double nucleus. Merger perhaps, or dust lane?
Is this a merger or a dust lane dividing the center?
This appears to me to be a galaxy which has had interaction with the spiral above it.
Possible quasar?
Are these two smaller objects satellite galaxies, such as our Magellanic Clouds? Dim red object on right distant galaxy?
