Very bright ring in the nucleus, seen edge on.
Starforming regions
Abe these things are genius! Thanks for brightening up a dull afternoon:-)
This one reminded me of this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mandelbrot_set hence the fractal reference 😉
I got a bit fed up of keep clicking star/artifact, no. So I started to amuse myself with these posts as revenge!
Oops! My bad 😦 just followed your link to the scarf field. Thanks for that! Really interesting (annoying) feature.

Please see discussion.
Loose four arm spiral partially obscured by foreground star?
Star with purple and blue regions?? Probably optical artifact...
SDSS labels this as a galaxy. If so ?AGN or possibly QSO??
Well here's a busy little corner! Is the red/green curving line an asteroid track? Else #fhb
Possibly more than one nucleus or maybe overlapping stars. Irregular blue galaxy, possibly even a wolf rayet star?? Seems I'm not much use..
Cool looking star. There must be a very large star off to the left of the FOV casting a huge red artifact over a huge chunk of the universe!
Rofl.. You've spotted my obsession then! Bravo! [Exits sheepishly whilst blushing and chuckling....]
Most references to nuclear rings seem to refer to barred spirals, but came across this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NGC_4314 stunner!
Good morning. Thanks zutopian. More homework for me it seems 😉
Looks good Abe! I don't know if it is significant, but quite some distance between the colours. Is your asteroid moving fast?
Overlap? The cluster from the target galaxy may be overlapping the cluster from the galaxy seen to the left?
Irregular?
Purple region of ionising gas cloud? Optical artifact?
?irregular. Blue region to right hand edge looks odd?

This is unusual? A sort of hybrid... What is this please? Very pale, possibly a bar, hint of blue but not obvious spiral. .??
Optical artifact or voorwerpje? Or too fuzzy to tell?
Faint but loose spiral. The galaxy at the bottom seems to have a ring??
Disturbed bar spiral?
Fuzzy spiral, star and green pea?? Over on the right hand edge, very bright green circular object... Doesn't look like cosmic ray hit.
Voorwerpje? Ionising gas cloud?
Very blue ?star forming areas?

Marked as star/artifact but the target is actually a galaxy by the side of the central star.
Faint and fuzzy but possibly a ring?? The line comes from a very cool (looking) star... See discussion.
#bar #spiral with a #ring?
With the blue "starforming areas" actually being multiple images of the background quasar? Wow! That's woken me up, thank you. 😃
Hiya zutopian! Good morning and thanks again. 😃

Please see discussion
Thanks again. 😃
Beautiful spiral
Line of ?tidal debris running down from left hand side?
Similar to http://talk.galaxyzoo.org/objects/AGZ0000uml ?? Probably to fuzzy to tell though.
But the mini voorwerp was a bit tongue in cheek. Sigh... Either way it looks very distinct in inverse colour??
But you have to allow a myopic old fella some leeway out of pity! I looked at the inverse and found it easier...
Foreground star? Or something else?
Two clumps, and is that a gas cloud?? Voorwerpje?
Blue pearl? Planetary nebula?
I dont have a clue. Looks Irregular, may be disturbed, seems to be forming a lot of stars, ?uv.
Impressive star. Seems strange that some of the colours resemble those seen in cosmic ray hits 😃

Could the red stripe be a cosmic ray hit on a CCD module or is it genuine?
Dual nucleus? With a nebula to the south east?? See skyServer.
So, ?uv galaxy. Star forming areas. Very cool.

Is this a close binary pair of stars interacting? Very cool if so...
Looks like a doughnut on the inverse image. Ring/dust lane?
The one on the left has a companion at about 1o'clock? Merger? Or overlay?
Odd clustering?
Is this a close binary pair or an image processing artefact?
Is it unusual to find a nebula in these images?
Both features more easily seen in inverted image 😃
Possible link between target and bottom left. Also interesting ?non-random line of smudges running top to bottom 3/4 across image. Inverse.
Ring?
Bar, ring.
How can we tell whether objects are between us and a galaxy or in the background? ?multiple images of same star (lensing) or unique stars?
Possibly a merger??
Bar galaxy?
That is the question..😉 From previous advice I'd hazard a guess at overlap - little or no disturbance.
Oh woe is me... Can't see how I'll be able to carry on now... 😃 Thanks so much for helping me acclimatise to the site ElisabethB.
?lensing

Thanks alan1001. Brand new and facing a steep learning curve. That helps a lot.😃
Has more than one bright spot in the centre. One spiral arm. ?background galaxy at the bottom.
Very bright, very green! Is this caused by overlapping a large nova type star or something?
Beautiful spiral. Another galaxy sideways on to the right.

Looks like either a merger or an arc. Is the line light from the large star at the bottom causing charge bleed or something??
Nice spiral with ?overlap

Spiral galaxy, star and possibly edge on galaxy with another ?star at the bottom. How should this be classified please?
? No idea. Is this a cluster or the start of a spiral arm?
Stars? Or an effect of gravitational lensing??
