  as far as i can figure, a lens is an intense distortion in front of something. You cant see whats causing it, just the bubble effect.

  Nebula would be my guess... its so irregular, looks like its being pulled 3 ways, or theres some serious dark matter clouds on top flanks

  Very cool. Looks like arcs of material, or a big area of dark material blocking out alot of that... I would assume the former.
