Galaxy Zoo Talk
Very nice!
Something is obscuring the galaxy's bulge.
Very good
Well noticed. The bulge in the centre seems like a thick ring.
This looks like 2 galaxies, very nice!
The flare of a very close star.
Correct, this could be a release of energy from a black or white hole. Maybe even a quasar.
Light flare.
Yes I'd have called that an irregular barred galaxy.
Time for me to go to sleep. I've classified 1132 images today. So I'll leave you with this #beautiful #spiral Goodnight!
A galaxy that is emitting light visible as green with whatever wavelength the images were set to collect. Awesome find. Green lantern, lol
Ring is available, it's directly above 'Other'.
Two spirals and a rather large stellar flare.
Another alien-looking formation. Very nice
#merger #irregular #spiral #galaxy
Very odd formation!
I'd call this the Hook Galaxy. The only reason I can think of now is that the nearby cluster is pulling at it.
Wow this is very interesting I see the tail. See the nearby globular cluster to the right of the tail? It's probably dragging the stars.
You'll get used to seeing these a lot. Just try to simplify the shape amongst all the pixels.
Wow excellent find! Definitely a merger, maybe involving three galaxies/nebulae.
Part of the machinery/editing, I've seen about 40 of these so far. Ignore them.
#spiral #galaxy looking glorious
Almost looks like a spiral galaxy with two bulges.
It's either a star or a nebula. Due to the image pixelation it's near impossible to determine from looking whether it may be a supernova.
By 'swings them around' I mean the objects pulled in between the two by gravity are then dragged around by the larger red object.
I can see how this formed. The globular cluster is being sucked in between the two objects and the larger of the two swings them around.
I see what you mean. One of the spiral arms is lagging behind. Maybe the spiral isn't fully developed into the perfect curve we usually see.
Very good find
Edge-on with a bulge.
Double #parallel #spiral galaxies.
The centre of the image is the grey cloud.
The subject of this photo is the red object in the centre.
I thought I'd share this, it's an incredibly large ring.
One very small one at the top, the one close up and a third behind the spiral in the centre. Very confusing. Worth looking into!
It's either a small spiral in front of a large galaxy, or there's actually three!
Probably a star. It doesn't look messy enough to be a supernova.
Gravity!
Could be a merger, could be all different colours being given off from a collision.
Odd-shaped #galaxy #irregular
Perhaps! http://fc02.deviantart.net/fs71/i/2010/346/3/e/green_nebula_explosion_by_bloodchain24-d34d7xq.png
#barred #galaxy with a #ring
I'd call this the Mackerel Galaxy.
Possible #quasar
Looks like a star. Nice find.
This might help explain why http://www.rpdp.net/sciencetips_v2/images/E12B1_1.gif
Odd-looking 'cloud'
Fantastic light show.
Small galaxy consumed(?) by larger #spiral #galaxy
Multi-coloured #merger
This is seriously messed up, whatever it is!
Probably the wavelength of light it is/was emitting.
Gorgeous #spiral #galaxy
#spiral #large
#beautiful #spiral #galaxy
#beautiful #spiral
#nice #bulge #edge-on #galaxy
#edge #merger #galaxy This is spectacular. I'm not sure if it's just something bright behind them or two galaxies have merged here.
#merger #galaxy Nice collision
Old(?) #spiral #galaxy Very nice!
Looks like an alien.
Irregular(?) #spiral
Very nice looking #spiral
Nice dark #nebula
Cool find
What is going on here?
#spiral
Wavy curve edge-on looks very cool!
Or swan, yellow beak and white wings.
Call that the Goose galaxy.
Nice find.
Very odd. What is that at the top left?
#beautiful #spiral #large
#spiral #merger Cool!
Woah very interesting!
#strange #spiral
#beautiful #colourful #galaxy
Awesome!
It's not a beautiful galaxy, but it does look nice.
Possible spiral.
Brilliant detail, one of my favourites.
Unidentifiable.
Above right of the object seems to be a spiral arm, and on the opposite side seems to be an opposing spiral arm.
This definitely looks like two, even three galaxies together. Or simply globular clusters close to each other.
Very peculiar. It seems like a spiral galaxy but one of the arms is irregular in shape and size when compared with the other spiral arm.
Very nice!
