Galaxy Zoo Talk
Spiral almost on edge
Odd because seems to have arms extending from centre but not spiral ones
Seems like areas of heavy star formation
Could be an overlap, could be a merge
I would say interacting, tidal debris. Highly unusual.
Spiral but quite fuzzy
Two irregular galaxies with heavy star formation merging
rather pretty barred spiral
Is this five galaxies merging or a single galaxy with five nuclei ? Unlike anything I have ever seen before.
Either a merger or a major disturbance
Overlapping red object
Huge ring burst of star formation
Very broad arms to spiral
Very nice bar and spiral
Irregular, dust lanes or merge
Almost viewed edge on
Clusters of star formation on the disk
Bursts of star formation on the arms
Quite prominent core
Star formation across the galaxy
Blue nuclei of star formation?
Could be a merger of two smooth galaxies
Weird- five nuclei in an otherwise smooth galaxy, three white and two blue arranged in a ring- star formation? Unique.
Another smooth galaxy that looks vaguely square in the middle
Very strange object with possible heavy star formation at the edge. Never seen anything like it.
It is indeed square. Minecraft galaxy?
Just a very pretty classic three arm spiral- classic
Very strange irregular ring with different colour- star formation? Around the edge.
Seems to be prominent star forming regions on the arms
Distorted ring and heavy dust lanes - looks like a collapsed balloon
The smaller blobs on either side of the main galaxy look very symmetrical- is this a lensing gravitational effect?
Ring plus bar galaxy with prominent central bulge
Unusually bright spiral galaxy
Very unusual seriously disturbed galaxy pair
Nothing to see
Ring, slightest suggestion of an arm top left
Possible dust lane or overlap lower right
Very striking three bands of star formation around the edge in blue which may be spiral arms or may be a ring
Very heavily disturbed galaxy, difficult to see what is going on but collision perhaps?
Is this a merger ?
Strange object because looks like an off centre bulge, or as previously noted perhaps a merger
supernova? One o'clock as previously noted?
Lens, merger or overlap?
Lovely spiral - am assuming globular galaxy not part of system
Unusually bright core
Might be a faint merging object in the bottom left hand corner
Very disturbed tidal
Is this star formation in the ring!
Amazing merger and single spiral
Difficult to see if it is a ring or spiral
Either merging or ripping alpart - major tidal stress anyway
Looks a bit symmetrical with the other galaxy down to the star...lensing ?
The two odd orange objects could indeed be lensing
Lots of lumpy cloud like objects around the perimeter
Very drawn out arms to the galaxy
Very odd, seems like a collection of three to four galaxies within an overall envelope
Pretty faint but seems to me to be a two armed spira,
Quite unusual ring, which is slightly irregular, around a prominent core, which is in colour contrast
Very prominent central area but very broad otherwise
Two objects close to the main galaxy, possibly one merging
Wow! Epic galaxy.
Looks quite grainy like a globular cluster
Very prominent centre
Some small dots on the galaxy
Maybe lensing on the left hand side. Otherwise irregular so could be part of that
Seems to have a bar, but otherwise quite unusual
Very dim, diffuse galaxy
Seems to have an extended arm on the left, as well as a ring
Interesting because it has a bar and a ring
Extremely dim and diffuse- is it really a galaxy or a nebula
Dust cloud, very straight alignment of two smaller objects immediately to the lower left
Largest and most prominent bar I have seen, almost but not quite a ring- I put is as two spiral arms. Presume globular galaxy isuperimposed.
Looks like tidal forces pulling it around, either out of, or into, am irregular spiral
To me this has a bar or at least quite elongated core but no obvious spiral. Could it be tidal disturbance?
Beautiful! I see a hint of bar- do others?
Supernova as green?
The core is brighter than anything I have seen. A star which has positioned exactly on core should be investigated if only to rule out.
The colour contrast between the larger oval galaxy and the red object which may be another one is striking
This is the biggest galaxy I have seen in the zoo- goes right beyond the frame and has a huge dust lane. Is it simply closer to us ?
Might be a merger in the bottom right hand corner
If another galaxy the "jet" is quite wispy and not bright, so to me it does seem like a jet of matter coming out of the galaxy
It seems like either two very similar globular galaxies merging or a single oval one with a dark dust lane. I think the former
Might be a superimposed star rather than a merger
Is there a bright star or a supernova in the galaxy? Green spot.
Two very bright spots on an otherwise quite featureless cigar shaped galaxy. Are stars superimposed, or is one, the green one, a super nova?
Bright star overlapping
This a very strange disruption that might even be three rather than two galaxies colliding? Spectacular, anyway.
Looks like a two spiral bar galaxy with two stars super-imposed ( or supernovae?)
Is the white dot a super nova in the galaxy?
Two objects, superimposed? Not merger, I don't think.
Three objects within the galaxy, are they superimposed or is one a supernova?
The galaxy itself seems to be bicoloured. The red object near it is also an unusual in colour.
Half and half, unusual- optical artifact?
Three bright points in the galaxy, as already noted, a supernova?
Classification refers to the irregular cigar shaped object, not the globular galaxy close by but I think not merging
Beautiful, classical bar spiral. Is there lensing at the bottom?
Is this a ring galaxy with no centre which has fortuitously encircled toncompletely unrelated "glowing eyes" galaxies? Either way it is odd
quite a strange object, difficult to tell if a bar two spiral or just distorted by merging
Looks like several galaxies merging at once
Referring to the globular smooth rather ordinary galaxy rather than the brighter star in the bottom right
The square in the middle makes me S renitnis an artifact
Meant lensing, of course
I wonder if the very narrow object on the left hand of the main galaxy is lending, especially given the other galaxies in view?
Can't see if the pink object is a star or another galaxy
Could be an overlap? Smaller smooth galaxy behind
Three very regular small blobs below and a suggestion of a cloud above...merging or distortion?
Very strange - does look like a photographic artifact
