Galaxy Zoo Talk
It's difficult to believe that this is a line-of-sight arrangement, so it's quite an unusual grouping.
I suppose it's just an illusion of details(or lack thereof), but this one looks like a blurred, spinning disc. Very strange!
This object is so clean and smooth it almost looks stellar. It appears to have two bars at right angles to each other.
I know one shouldn't regard dark areas as "shadows" etc., but with this one, it's tough not to. Very unusual appearance.
This one, too, almost looks like a ring, but not quite, so I didn't mark it as such.
This almost looks like a ring, but not quite, so I didn't mark it as such.
I would have noted that this galaxy had a ring "other" under "odd," for possible multiple dust lanes, but those choices weren't available.
All the spiral arms appear to originate from the same place.
The single, wispy spiral arm of this galaxy makes a full 360-degree circle around the core.
The "bar" in this one is ring-shaped. I marked it as such because the spiral arms originate from the edge of the ring, not the core,
This galaxy appears to have two cores, similar in size and magnitude.
Though there are two spiral arms, they seem to originate from the same place--not on opposite sides of the core.
