Galaxy Zoo Talk
The spiral galaxy was classified even though it is not in the center of the image.
two #spirals
three #nodes
#possible_S_type_warp
#spiral arms just noticeable
possible #overlap at 1 o'clock near the core
possible #bar obscured by foreground star diffraction
#nodes
#barred #ringed #spiral
#merger #dust_lanes should be added to the #examples
That's the Pinocchio Galaxy !! 😛
The #smooth #round object in the centre of the image was classified with an #overlap with the #loose #spiral galaxy
#core #ring and #bar are more evident in the inverted image
#multiple_ring
#pale_blue_cloud at 11 o'clock relative to the core - #overlap ?
#possible_polar_ring
It appears a #star was #centered so I didn't classify what appears to be the background galaxy.
#possible_barred_spiral_edge_on
4 #ringed_nodes and #possible_overlaps on the perimeter
At higher zoom there appears to be a dust lane above the core.
#overlap with another #edge_on_galaxy in the background
#2_ring_barred_spiral - the diffuse outer spiral arms appear ring-like
#3_ring_barred_galaxy
#possible_spiral_edge_on
Just curious: are there any known #galactic_lens associated with an #edge_on_galaxy ?
#overlap at 6 o'clock
#possible_bar or #possible_polar_ring ?
#possible_overlap with #faint_object on the right-hand side
narrow curved diffuse arm from 2 o'clock to 5 o'clock
#possible_L_type_warp
#possible_U_type_warp
#possible_overlapping_star
#possible_overlapping_star #possible_S_type_warp (if viewing edge-on)
#possible_bar
#faint_spiral
#overlap at 9 o'clock
#possible_merger - in the inverted image the disturbance oriented to the bottom galaxy is brown while the second galaxy appears blue
#object_off_centre in the image
#possible_merger or #possible_overlap with object at 10 o'clock
#possible_merger - in the inverted image the left object appears darker (brighter) than its neighbour, implying a #possible_overlap
#overlap ?
#disturbed #S_type_warp
#possible_polar_ring not illuminated at 11:00-1:00
#disturbed #possible_polar_ring ?
#disturbed_spiral_arm
#dustlane aligned perpendicular to the bulge
#artifact
#possible_ring #possible_dustlane
#faint_dustlane ?
#ringed #barred #spirals
#possible_artefact #faint_ellipse traced around the left galaxy
I am surprised this is a galaxy and not an artefact. It appears to be a loose irregular mass of purple pixels.
#edge_on
#red_dust_lane
#galaxy_cluster
image edge #artefact
#blue_star appears to be in the foreground
#possible_cluster interesting arrangement of 6 #globular in the lower right hand quadrant
#antipodal #brightstar and smaller #globular
