Galaxy Zoo Talk
delicate two arm spiral, irregular
unusually asymetrical spiral galaxy
fine example of two armed spiral
this appears to have other forms close to core, the beginnings of a new spiral arm?
marked this as disturbed, not sure if there is a dustlane or feature displacement
central form is elongated?
there is a shadow or second galaxy joining at lower right
floating doughnuts?
quite serene disk on edge with visible dust lanes to either side
this has a dark heart or is it a burnt retina effect?
appears as merging forms
the spirals appear to begin ahead of bar ends
such an elegant treble clef
central mass appears extended along polar axes
what is interesting is the blue star above and to right, appwars to have shadow
i'm sure that foreground star is having an effect
i suspect this spiral has arm stretching off to upper right
not at all sure what this is, am going to SkyServer to have better image.
I don't think it's a ring, but one long wispy sweep. What interests me is the apparent lump at lower left of galaxy - involved or spurious?
is this an example of lensing? See green-blue upper right
centre galaxy appears to have dark outer sweep that has hidden edge of that to the right
seen with invert there are two delicate spirals sweeping out from core
there is a hint of red in upper right of surrounding cloud, not sure if this is significant.
dust ring?
there appears to be stream between the two cores and eccentricity which suggest, to me, that these are interacting.
barely visible, this is like an irregular smear in the dark.
a pretty pair! the dots to either side, are they integral or stars?
there is a faint peripheral ring more noticeable in the invert
the bars do not terminate at beginnings of spirals, odd 'inner sweeps' precede them
very flat edges to the halo, would have put down to camera movement had centre not been quite so strong an circular
appears to have a dust ring
the core appears well off centre here
it appears something is affecting the edge of this spiral
delicate pink at the heart of this gentle spiral
very strong bar from the outer edges of which begin the delicate sweeping spiral arms, elegant
less merger than galactic extinction it seems.
perhaps it should be put down to a bad photo? or two merging?
appears a galaxy with perhaps one sweep, but odd object left of centre?
I don't think it has a bar, just beautifully clear double spiral
my first odd shape. hard to categorise
nothing in the examples like this. Your description appears to fit.
appears to be merging galaxies. the lower is distorted but whether they are proximate is another thing.
there appear to be spiral arms flung out in the horizontal viewing plane, very faint
the central mass has a brighter side...
appears to have shadow rings above and below
