#barred #spiral. It's beautiful π
Looks like a barred spiral, but I must have pressed elliptical in GZ by mistake.
I don't know what this is exactly. Does not seem to be a merger as there aren't any trails. Is this one galaxy on top on another?
Am I correct in seeing a little blue starforming region on its edge?
Are my eyes tricking me, or does this galaxy have spiral arms in an S shape?
Looks like a busy neighborhood. I marked it with #overlapping for the galaxies at 11 and 3 o'clock positions and #merger for 9 o'clock.
I love how this one looks like a seashell.
Why is the center brighter than the edges?
@elsie22 I'd say that the ring is already there. I marked this as barred, ringed spiral with arms.
Could this be a #merger ?
I like this image, either the galaxy is extremely large or very close to us. I wish all the GZ photos were this clear!
Could this be a dying star? Or is the red star and the blue galaxy separate?
I love the slight tilt of this galaxy. Makes me wish I could see it up close!
Why is the image in green, is that normal?
This is a really odd one. I think this is an elliptical with a #bar because I couldn't see any spiral arms.
I also marked this one #disturbed for the horizontal line at 12 o'clock position.
It's just you Hyper. The galaxy isn't really staring at you π
Goodness I don't even know where to begin with this odd duck. #ring #bar and maybe a possible #merger ?
Another #ring and #bar ... Not sure if there are arms but marked with 2 spiral arms anyeay.
Amazing! I clearly see the #bar and ring but no spiral arms. This must be the "monochromatic single filter images" mentioned on Facebook π
I would have to see more of the galaxy on the right edge to be sure, but I classified this as irregular and possible merger.
A whole lot of βoptical artifacts" ... it looks like a bowl of Lucky Charms!
Possible #merger
I classified this as Star/artifact because all I see in the center is a star's ray. And obviously we're to ignore the galaxy at 3 o'clock.
It even looks like the eye of Horus.
I'd call this the Saucer Galaxy, compared to the similar Sombrero Galaxy π
What are those green blobs, could they be voorwerps or clouds of gas?
A possible merger between the green spiral at 9 o'clock and the red one at 3 o'clock?
A possible merger? The blue at 5 o'clock with the larger spiral.
I'd like a second opinion on this; I classified it as star or artifact. The green is a smooth galaxy, the white and blue things are??
Is that a bar and a ring I see?
Is this picture in infrared?
3-armed #spiral in triangular shape
That's a star in the upper right quadrant, correct? It's beautiful.
In the spirit of the 2014 holiday season, it does look like a snowman π Chance alignment indeed!
