supernova in the ring?
all sorts happening here
hexagonal
all debris?
#merger of three galaxies all very #blue
#disturbed arms
#dust-lane #box
object is not identifiable
#group of maybe 50 galaxies within the skyserver field shown
#red #two-tone
lots of surrounding blobs, but none of them appear to be connected with this galaxy.
blob of something - any ideas?
overlap with red star
#ring #bar #arms
insufficient in the visible
#overlap with another galaxy
Another galaxy at the end of one arm. Result of a #merger ?
#two-tone galaxy. a small #red galaxy overlaps an arm on its outer edge
#bar well-formed #spiral
#merger very long arms
#ring #debris #bar #disturbed
#dust-lane
#two-tone
#two-tone. (faint arms beyond the disc)
#red galaxy
#merger #disturbed
Very #disturbed
#merger #debris
nice #spiral
This is the first galaxy that I've seen with a #bar and no arms
surrounded by violet patches
two-tone galaxy; central bright bar and arms which continue into the faint arms; very symmetrical
got it, thanks so much!
#blue arms #disturbed
the ends of both arms are #blue. #debris in the neighbourhood.
Am I seeing the same page as you? (www.galaxyzoo.org/#/classify). I have no 'examine'.
Where does the EXAMINE function come from? I don't see that.
#red
#merger ?
very #disturbed arms
#blue region at the end of one of the arms #disturbed
another similar galaxy in view (#bar, #spiral)
is this a tight #spiral or a #disturbed #ring?
another similar galaxy part in view. arms very far flung.
The INVERT Button works, the FAVORITE button works, the SDSS button does nothing. Where do I get this extra info?
Elizabeth - sometimes the SDSS button goes to HUBBLE but it never does anything. as soon as I've classified it goes to the next picture.
is that a #red centre to the galaxy or just a red foreground star?
How do you know that they are stars Elizabeth? Should there be more information in the SDSS button? Mine doesn't work.
#ring nearly #edgeon
very tight #spiral. Another similar galaxy in view but not apparently interacting
arms are shaped like the field lines of a bar magnet
#overlap with two other galaxies
very #red galaxy
multi #merger
very #blue galaxy
#overlap
two or more in a #merger #disturbed
#green galaxy (or is it a star?)
#merger of two similar-sized spirals
#merger
#overlap with a galaxy directly behind
although the galaxy appears symetrical, it has a stream of #disturbed material from one side.
in addition to the two clear arms there is a third #disturbed one.
in addition to the two clear arms there are other #disturbed arms
#debris #overlap with galaxy behind
#bar plus #ring plus two faint #spiral arms
is the second bulge a second galaxy directly behind?
galaxy plus #debris of another one
is this a #cluster or stars?
nearby? spiral galaxy not yet interacting
three galaxy #merger or merger and #overlap
#cluster of galaxies, at least one #disturbed
galaxy plus #debris
galaxy in front of a #cluster of galaxies
#merger or #debris
I CANNOT COMMENT IN THE 145 CHARACTERS THAT I AM BEING ALLOWED!!! So #merger ?; not #overlap; #daughtergalaxy most likely.
4 galaxy #merger
#ring #bar
#cluster
I'm supposing that the debris is the two green dots at each end of the disc.
#debris
#distorted arms. Several hot blue #star-forming regions
#daughter galaxy at the end of the lower arm
incomplete #ring with #bar
#ring with #bar
two #bulges? two galaxies in direct line of sight? #supernova in the galaxy?
distorted arms, very distinct #bar
Two similar-sized similarly-coloured objects close to each other but not apparently interacting.
A combination of tight arms and loose arms. Or is it two superposed galaxies?
very clear example of a #ring
arms distorted
central region has a large blue part.
The arms (faint) may be part of a galaxy that is directly behind the bright galaxy in front. If this is so, then the galaxy behind is huge.
#merger of two equal galaxies with the same colour
Three objects with the same colour. Surely related?
#spiral with #bar and #halo
Bulge is not central to the halo
Two galaxies in one halo with a tail?
